September was our most exciting month yet.

Among other things, we:

  • Generated more data in one day than ever before

we generated more data @newlimit today than in all of our previous days combined if we keep up this growth rate, we'll have solved epigenetic rejuvenation in no time 🔬 :)

  • Assembled the first pooled perturbation library for our Discovery Engine, nearly a month ahead of schedule!

Schematic designs of some of our initial perturbation chemistry. Just one of many ways we’re increasing the throughput of reprogramming experiments.
Sanger sequencing verification of our first perturbation libraries.
  • Added a few exciting toys to the lab, including initial setup of our flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, and cell culture facilities

  • Welcomed Wes McKeithan to NewLimit as a Senior Scientist on our Immunology team!

  • Welcomed the first Senior Engineer to our Predictive Modeling team

  • Shared an outline of Predictive Modeling Challenges at NewLimit — we plan to operate in the open as much as possible, and this is one of our initial attempts to distill down the technical challenges we’re working to overcome on the path to product development

  • We built our first cell-type annotation models. Left: where we started. Right: where we’re at.

  • As usual, if you’re excited by our mission please visit our careers site and apply.

How it started
How it’s going. Sony makes a beautiful FACS instrument.
Our microscope came in the first box that required a power drill to open.
The first cell cultures alive and well at NewLimit! It took us a while to get that box open, but the microscope was worth it.
👀 Our office remodel is moving forward! Some example specifications from our awesome architecture team at OTJ Architects.
